By guest contributor Amber Plante As far as shopping for beauty products go, nothing beats Sephora for a quality variety of personal indulgences – but those many multicolored rows of eyeshadows, perfumes and body washes can swirl together into a sheer kaleidoscope of confusion. As a trained make-up artist, I love getting lost in its bays, walking between test counters and wielding toss-out make-up applicators like a wizard and sniffing out the very best products Sephora has to offer within a budget designed for the average shopper not looking to spend a fortune. Heck, I once spend 3 hours trying on mascara, looking for the perfect combination of brush size, length and thickness and fluid consistency – by the way, it’s Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash, which, for $20 is a bit pricey but worth every cent. Anyway, in my endless wanderings, I’ve discovered some truly fabulous little gems that, when working in unison, can give you the most flawless face you’ve ever had. My newest favorite find is Benefit’s You Rebel Lite tinted facial moisturizer. It’s a lighter shade than the original You Rebel, and it feels creamy on your skin but adds a sheer coverage much like foundation but without the gunky look and heavy feel. And, if you prime your face with Smashbox’s Photo Finish – a secret of celebrities everywhere – then the You Rebel on top, with dabs of Benefit’s Hollywood Glow – another celeb secret – on your cheeks (for perfect placement, dab where you’d normally get a sunburn), your will glow with a dewy healthiness that screams neither beach bunny nor Snow White. It’s a perfectly flawless look that will make you feel absolutely stunning. And when it comes down to it, isn’t that the point? It’s the perfect daily indulgence. Your neck is cramped, your skin feels grimy, you look a little faded … and now you find out your flight is delayed. That may have been a big hassle years ago, but now you can utilize this quality time normally spent in a hard plastic airport chair relaxing and rejuvenating in a comfy spa chair. Airport spas are now a place to unwind and beautify thanks to an array of relaxation locations that have popped up in terminals around the world. Services for luxury travelers
Take XpresSpa for example. As one of the biggest airport spas it serves 20,000 travelers a month at 34 locations including Logan, D/FW, JFK, Houston Bush Intercontinental, San Francisco and more. Services comprise of massages, waxing, facials and manicure/pedicure. The menu is standard with the exception of add-ons to facials including an olive oil and leaf mask, an exfoliating papaya mask and a ginseng and spirulina mask. Fast massage at the airport
If you’re interested in a fast massage at the airport between connecting flights, the Massage Bar, with locations in Seattle, Dulles, Nashville, Sacramento and more, offers a 15-minute or 30-minute massage with no appointment required. Or - because your feet are exhausted- you can kick back, lay on a heated neck and shoulder wrap and get a foot massage. One of the best features of the Massage Bar is that many of their services do not require you to undress. This is a draw to those who need a quick massage but couldn't be hassled with changing. Airport spa in Vancouver
The Absolute Spa at Vancouver Int’l takes airport grooming to an entirely new level with steam showers, self tanning and a private resting suite equipped with aromatherapy and music. They also offer an assortment of unique services including the Bon Voyage Moor Mud Manicure, the Circulator Anti-Swelling Leg Massage, and an oxygen spa that gives an ‘Oxygen boost with fresh citrus or aroma oil.’ If you want to look good right off the plane Absolute offers haircuts and make-up touch-ups. He has been on Oprah, E!, and his most famous haircut may bring you back to the days of 'Charlie's Angels.' Celebrity hairdresser Allen Edwards and his team have styled Julianne Moore, Lara Flynn Boyle, Renee Zellweger and more. Edwards tells Indulge about some of his secrets to success, what we are doing wrong with our hair and what the new 'Shabob' is all about. Indulge: What was your most memorable haircut? Allen Edwards: I am the original creator of the Farrah Fawcett signature layered cut which started a trend that still exists today. Also, 'scrunching' hair was very popular -we did it on Donna Mills for 'Knots Landing.'
Indulge: What styles should women or men avoid? Allen Edwards: You want to avoid styles that emphasize your bad features. For example, if you have a high forehead, make sure that you wear bangs. If you have a long, thin face, make sure your hair is not too long. If you are heavier, don’t wear hair that’s too big.
Indulge: Any secret tricks you use? Allen Edwards: I cut hair with tapering scissors and a razor. It takes away a lot of weight, makes the hair more fluid and makes the hair more interesting.
Indulge: What are the newest styles this summer? Allen Edwards: Bobs have been big so far and now we’re going in with a razor and making them shaggier but still with the bob line. We call them 'Shabobs.'
Indulge: Who are your favorite celebrity clients? Allen Edwards: Rene Russo, Sally Fields, Rachel Welch, Anne Bancroft, Donna Mills and Suzanne Somers.
Indulge: What is your secret to staying on top? Allen Edwards: This year we are celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Allen Edwards Salon + Spa. The secret to the success of my salons is education. We are always thinking creatively and out-of-the-box. I try to enforce the idea of endless array of change. My stylists change styles on a client every 6 months or as often as possible. Is the work of six hands better than two? That depends … are you a bottle-capper at Schlotz brewery (ala Laverne & Shirley) or are you responsible for walking 12 Bichon Frise through Central Park? Then yes. But what about six hands all working together to give you a massage at the same time … indulgent or strange? The Thai Privilege Spa, decorated impeccably with flowing silk, candles and bamboo in Soho, offers this Siam Nirvana massage. UrbanDaddy describes the zen-like six-handed treatment as an encounter that starts with greetings and tea … “And then the symphony begins. The three expertly trained therapists work in chorus to create a sensation your body has never known (a rare feat).” The Siam Nirvana is said to be so incredibly breathtaking it could make you feel as if you never want a two-handed massage again. If there ever was a time when a regular massage just wasn’t good enough ... this could be it. The 75-minute massage is $590 and must be booked 48 hours in advance. Definitely for the privileged. By guest contributor Dee Murray Plumping is pain. That’s all there is to it. It’s a pleasant pain really. One, when not achieved by an advertised ‘plumping’ product is jerkingly disappointing. But please. You need not pout – unless it’s plumper induced. Now, you can buy the best without the fear of pucker disappointment. Below, we’ve ranked 5 lip plumpers … and all we have to say is … May the best burn win … Perricone MD Lip Plumper Price: $35 Available at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Sephora and online at http://www.perriconemd.com/What they say:Perricone MD claims to be scientific serum for age correct, anti-aging. It’s selling points tout making lips appear fuller, minimizing the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and restoring a more youthful look. What I say:It looks pretty impressive. That’s for sure. Perricone MD arrives in a pharmaceutical looking box, containing a very chic copper-ish tube. And it even wows with technical speak like contains ‘alpha lipoic acid’ and ‘DMAE.’ But disappointingly, nothing. Not even a tingle. Not even a flicker. Absolutely nothing. Used throughout the day for two solid days, constant checks and kissy faces in the mirror garnered no pucker-perfect profile. Bottom line: Big price tag, even bigger disappointment. (Come to find out, Dr. Perricone’s a guy. …) Wet n Wild Mega Plump
Price: $3.99 To find a retailer near you, check out http://wnwbeauty.com/wheretobuy/index.phpWhat they say:This brilliantly sheer lip gloss contains Maxi-Lip™ for full, kissable lips, while Vitamins A, E & aloe vera delivers moisture with just a hint of sheer, shiny color. The more you use it the longer the plump lasts - feel the tingle working! What I say:
Wet n Wild is awesome. It is the most fun, most colorful and most affordable brand of makeup on the market. I love it. This lip plumper is no exception. The colors are electric, the gloss is shiny, sassy and long-lasting and the tingle is tantalizing! Upon first application of the gloss, I timed the slight burn/tingle at about 10 minutes before it fizzled to nothingness. But upon second application, it lasted about 25 minutes and I noticed a slight plumpness for about an hour. I wouldn’t call this plumping ‘Mega’ as the name entails, but it was noticeable. Bottom line: Smart value. Great color choices, nice plumping effects. But ‘mega’ is probably not the most accurate of descriptions. Sephora Plumping Lip Gloss
Price: $10 Purchase at Sephora retail stores across country and online at sephora.comWhat they say:
Maximum volume paired with a sweet, glossy finish makes Plumping Gloss the perfect choice for pout perfection. Natural pepper and mint extracts stimulates microcirculation, resulting in rosy, full lips, and vitamin E nourishes the lips for irresistibly kissable lips. What I say:Sephora’s moderately priced plumper is available in a handful of shades – not the wide-range of colors one would expect from a national brand. The clear plumper, which pairs well under or over your favorite lip gloss generates a sensation, never really reaching maximum heat, but is respectably warm. Visibly, the Sephora gloss didn’t produce results I could see, just results I could feel as I felt a lip shape change. … I couldn’t see it though. That’s kind of confusing, right? When paired against DuWop’s Lip Venom, I’d choose Lip Venom hands down. But it carries a heftier price tag (about $21). So, for the name-brand conscious, Sephora Lip Plumper is a strong, notable and status-worthy choice. Bottom line: Great name brand. Moderate price, but not best lip plumping brand in family of products offered by company. Skin by Monica Olsen Plump for Sexy Lips Price Tag: $18.95 Purchase at www.skinbymonica.comWhat they say:Starting out at a brand creating products safe for baby’s skin, Skin by Monica Olsen (Monica’s a former fashion model) , now dives into beauty products for men and women focused on an entire regime of skin-care and health products. What I say:Plump for Sexy Lips is fantastic. It brings back memories of lip plumpers in their purest, hottest, most affective form. While a little more pricey than most plumpers, the $18.95 price tag is well worth the visual and mental affects. Instead of utilizing an annoying tingle, Plump of Sexy Lips brings a cinnamon, spearmint mix into the process and proves there really is a such thing as something hurting ‘so good.’ And its visual effects are noticeable, but not overpowering. It generously plumps, generously tingles and the effects last a few hours. Mentally, it feels like a plumper – the burn, the way it rests on the lips – everything is perfect. Its only downfall is it’s only available in clear – which is a blessing if you don’t like color, but a curse if you carry a very small purse and can’t jam in any more lip gloss. My only suggestion, if heading to skinbymonica.com to purchase this product is to NOT click on the ‘About Monica’ tab … for some reason, it talks about bowel cleansing … and that’s just … not what the average person wants to read about … especially when buying lip gloss. Bottom line: Up-and-coming brand, slightly pricey, excellent effects. Only available in clear. Beauty Benefits By Wet n Wild Dual Effects Price Tag: $5.99 Available at discount retailers nationwide. What they say:
Unique, dual-ended pencil perfectly plumps, conditions, and defines lips. Enriched with botanical extracts to hydrate and protect lips, while accentuating their shape with natural looking color. What I say:This combo is one a little more non-traditional, this pencil is a plumper on one end and a lip liner pencil on the other. The stick-formed plumper rolls on smooth enough, but gives a slight oily feel the glosses don’t contain. This is a little bit of a turn off as I expect a feel not so petroleum-jelly-ish but the plumping ‘burn’ is honorable and it had nice effect (although didn’t last as long as its sister product, Mega Plump). The liner is great – pretty typical of a Wet N Wild liner. It was smooth, lasting and is available in a great variety of colors. Bottom line: Priced right. Liner/plumper combo is nice spin but plumper is a little clumpy. She started with one product: cheek gloss. Between that and the commitment to making the application of make-up easier for women, Rosie Jane Johnston (right) has expanded her extremely successful line of Rosie Jane Cosmetics - which are popular across the world. Today she tells Indulge how she got her start, what celebs she likes to work with and how women can gain confidence to apply cosmetics beautifully. Indulge: How did you get your start in the industry?Rosie Jane: I finished makeup school and had just moved to London. I was working part time in a video shop, a photographer walked in talking about how he was going to be shooting Kylie Minogue next week and I asked him if he needed a makeup artist. Everything started from there. Indulge: What would you tell a woman who feels like she is hopeless at applying makeup?Rosie Jane: Not to give up. A lot of brands make it pretty confusing when it comes to choosing products and then applying them. Try starting with some basics…mascara, cream blush, and lip gloss. As your confidence builds, start adding some more products…eyeliner, eye shadow, etc. Indulge: Is there an easy way for women who wear glasses to apply eye makeup? Rosie Jane: Try doing it with a dual hand mirror. One side magnified the other normal. You can hold the mirror as close as you need to. Do one eye at a time if need be. Also try going for products that are goof proof, like the Rosie Jane Eye Define. You can practically be blind and still make this liner work for you. Indulge: Who is your favorite celebrity to work with?Probably Poppy Montgomery (left) because she's my sister so we always have a lot of fun together. Indulge: Tell us about the new Eye Define that just came out?Eyeliner is the hardest cosmetics product to master. Realizing that the most common eyeliner is black, I wanted to add a natural and unique spin on the typical black eyeliner. 'Night' is a slightly shimmery smokey black, so the line it creates is not as harsh. It’s a more natural finish and with the angled tip, it is so easy to use and get a really defined look. Indulge: What are some tricks for women to look polished but not overdone?Rosie Jane: When it comes to makeup, to me less is always more. Women should just be defining what they have. Always keep it simple. Normally a good coat of mascara, pink cheek, and flushed lip is all you need to look pulled together and radiant. Indulge: What is the biggest makeup mistake women make?Rosie Jane: Not wearing mascara even when they have naturally dark lashes. Or getting all dressed up and only putting lipstick on, with no other makeup. Makeup is just as important to your overall look as the outfit you choose to wear. Indulge: How can women use makeup to look younger?Rosie Jane: Keep your lip color light; just try using a natural lip liner and a tinted gloss. Dark colored lipsticks tend to make women look older. Don't wear too much and just keep it simple. Indulge: Do you have any secret application tips to share with us?Rosie Jane: Try using a white iridescent eye shadow just in the inner corner of your eyes. It gives an instant pick me up and looks stunning. Indulge: Anything you would like to add?Rosie Jane: Just remember makeup is all about layering. Start with less and build from there. By guest contributor Dee Murray I have nightmares about it. If I were a drinker, I swear I’d throw back a few before I attempted it … There’s just no denying, buying jeans bites. Low rise, high rise, boot cut, straight leg, skinny leg, wide leg … 34 waist, 36 long or just straight size 12 … it’s just too much for a fashion-loving woman to bare. Especially if said fashion lover has 6 kids, can’t find time to exercise AND works full time (not to mention travels for business constantly). Let’s face it. We’re different. We’re not pine-board straight tweens; we’re not perfect-body teens. And we’re most definitely not those bare-midriff model types. We’re real women who need a little help here and there, but just want to feel great about who we are, what we’re wearing and how we look in it. So nightmares, Be Gone (Zap). After reading about the hype, then seeking them out in a local store, I am now hooked on NYDJ brand jeans. I actually didn’t believe it because I’d purchased many pair of jeans in the past claiming they were ‘butt lifting’ or ‘tummy tucking’ … but they just didn’t work. So, would these get the job done? We’ll see … Trying on NYDJs is kind of fun. To get the proper tummy tuck effect, I had to go down two sizes from my normal jean size – which in itself is a great feeling. The jeans felt supportive, but I could still move and they weren’t restrictive. Not Your Daughter’s Jeans have special stitching inside the pockets helping hold in the ‘fat folds’ and help achieve a smooth fit. They are comfortable (don’t feel like you’re wearing a girdle), they breath and they look great. While I do find they lose their tummy tuck ability to a certain extend by the end of the day, a quick wash and dry totally tightens them up again. The jeans wash up beautifully and don’t fade. I love wearing them with blouses/t-shirts that are a little more form-fitting because these jeans really do create a form-fitting line. NYDJs come in all colors; all fits and even have fancy-pocket jeans with rhinestones. My person faves are the dark jeans, wide leg, but I also love the rhinestone pocket jeans. (NYDJ designers … if you’re reading this, I’d love some jeans with embroidery on the legs …). Cashing in at about $100 makes NYDJs a little harder to come by for those of us on a budget, but I’ve found it’s pretty easy to pick them up at some discount closeout stores such as Nordstrom Rack or even eBay. But the full line is carried at high-end retailers such as Nordstrom. Two versions of NYDJ Previous Post: Luxury hand sanitizer

I once thought a friend of mine was heavy drinker because he smelled of alcohol constantly. To my surprise I found out he actually did not drink at all, but did have another addiction: hand sanitizer. It left him with a constant scent of booze and left me turned off to hand sanitizer for years. So, when I heard of a 'luxury' sanitizer made with essential oils I gave it a whirl. Frais hand sanitizer is made with ginger, grapefruit, basil, orange, lemon myrtle, tangerine, cardamom and niaouli. I thought the scent was a little strong at first, but toned down to a botanical aroma that reminded me of the interior of an Aveda store. The smell was clean, but rich and definitely did not have that alcohol-like smell I was used too. Frais only uses high grade pure sugarcane alcohol and does not use animal ingredients or perform animal testing. They also partnered with the Just a Drop foundation which supports global water, sanitation and health projects. So, say what you will about hand sanitizer (I know many either love it or hate it), but this one had grown on me and left my hands pretty soft. Could we price out a haircut per snip? Ask Beverley Lateo (right), who paid nearly $17,000 for a cut by Stuart Phillips in London. This got them both seated in the Guinness Book of World Records. Indulge did the math on this haircut. Say you are 40 years old and you pay $50 for a haircut you will get every two months until you turn 100. Your total cost for your lifetime of haircuts is $18,000. We reported this record-breaking haircut in our World-Class Indulgences article and the response was so big we decided to chat with Stuart Phillips ourselves. Indulge: What made the haircut so expensive?Stuart Phillips: Attention to detail is the most important part of why the haircut is so expensive. The client spends all day with me and is literally treated like royalty. Indulge: How did you come up with a VIP service?
Stuart Phillips: As the salon is adorned with 23,000 Swarovski crystals, people generally flock outside to look and photograph it. We also regularly attract A-list Hollywood stars like David Hasselhoff, Jean Claude Van Dam and Kirsten Dunst and so I know the salon is fit for even a queen. I thought it would be good to create a team of people that could offer an amazing service with the salon being at the main venue. Indulge: What does it entail?Stuart Phillips: The £8,000 (around $16,000 U.S.*) package includes flights, transfers to and from London airports in a limousine, a champagne lunch or dinner, a VIP section of the salon booked out for a whole day, a master class on hair styling with Stuart Phillips and a basket of hair products (specific to each individual hair type). The £20,000 (around $40,000* U.S.)package includes the same as above plus a personal shopper, transfers to and from the airport and back, 2 days accommodation at one of London’s finest hotels, a private chef and a special discounted rate of £28,000 (around $55,000* U.S.) if a friend comes along (normal price £40,000 (around $80,000* U.S. )) Phillips, a rep from Guinness Book of World Record and Lateo. Who can resist an Airstream trailer filled with free skincare products? Expert skin therapists with Dermalogica are cruising through California on a 'Know Your Zones' tour to give out free, 5-minute Face Mapping analyses to educate people about the 14 areas of their face and neck. The theory behind Face Mapping is that skin on the face and neck may reflect parts of the body that need extra care. For example, Dermalogica describes Zone 2 as ‘The middle of the forehead, between the eyebrows ... related to the liver. Congestion in this zone can indicate over consumption of alcohol, rich foods, and possibly a food allergy such as lactose intolerance.’ The experts look at all 14 zones to determine a person’s distinctive state of skin health, needs for treatment and what products they should be using. People who participate in Face Mapping will receive free travel size products in a set customized for them. MicroZone Treatments, $25, 20-minute targeted remedies to attend to precise skin challenges, will also be available. These include fixes for puffy or dark circles under eyes, exfoliation, hand repair and breakout treatments. The trailer is only sailing through California (see locations/date below), but the folks at Dermalogica have made these treatments available at all skin centers, salons and spas that use the Dermalogica skin care system. In addition, the Dermalogica Foundation will donate $1 to the Children’s Skin Disease Foundation for every person who participates in Face Mapping. California locations/dates:

Flip-flop-flip-flop-flip-flop … sounds like something you would hear at the beach, but not exactly a sound you hear when someone is exercising. That could change though as a new generation of flip-flops are here and they could get you shaped and toned with every step you take. FitFlops, a “flip-flop with the gym built in,” are shoes made with a multi-density mid-sole designed to challenge your muscles to give you greater exercise while you walk. Made for men or women, if you’re too busy for the gym, or just hate working out, this could be a solution for you. FitFlops, released in May 2007, were created by a group that included Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Senior Lecturing Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and several footwear engineering technologists. The shoe had a waiting list of over 10,000 names making it the quickest selling new health and wellness shoe yet. While FitFlops were designed to tone and shape your muscles, the company says they have also been reported to lessen chronic back pain, result in inch loss, speed healing of injured joints and relieve pain from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and arthritis. They have plenty of testimonials on their site, but soon I will tell you what I really think of them. See my photo below of me in my FitFlops ... I am to spend the next few months testing them out and you can look for my review to find out the following: -How I think they feel -How I think they look -Have I noticed physical changes as far as toning and trimming of muscles (yes, I will take photos) -How I think they feel to walk in for a long time -How I think they feel to stand in for a long timeHave you tried these? Let me know what you think. Or, if you want to experiment with them as I am doing, send me email! We can track your progress too on Indulge. FitFlops come in tons of trendy colors and styles (note the very cool sequins and fringe) and retail for $49.99. They even have a limited edition Auerlia style, which I think looks exactly like the gladiator sandals that are so hot this summer. For details on where they can be purchased, visit The FitFlops website. Jacqui in her FitFlops. And stay tuned for my review! I will keep you posted throughout the summer. Father’s day is June 15 and rather than get dad another set of golf balls or a coffee mug, let’s buy him something indulgent. It doesn’t matter what your dad is like… there is something for every dad. The traveling dad: The “Grab + Go Portables” kit, by Anthony Logistics For Men, is essentially everything dad needs for a trip. A bonus is they are small enough and in a zip lock case so he can buzz right through airport security. The kit includes facial cleanser, facial scrub, cleansing gel, shampoo, astringent after shave, shave cream, and a zip top bag. $35, Sephora. The dad who loves to chill: Neiman Marcus has a decadent cashmere robe in charcoal or navy for $950. If that is a little pricey for you, Brookstone has a spa robe for men made of their exclusive “NapSoft” material for $89.99. It comes in camel or white. Also -if the gift you bought mom for Mother's Day was bad- you can get her one too because they have women’s as well. The stylish dad: Looking good is always indulgent so why not update dad for the next 12 months with the necktie of the month club. These ties are handpicked by fashion professionals on a monthly basis. $21.95 per month at Amazing clubs. The eco-friendly dad: Try Burts Bees Bay Rum Men's Shaving Kit. Whisk him away with the scents of the tropics and comfort him with soothing aloe vera with this five-piece kit. It includes Bay Rum Shaving Soap, Bay Rum Aftershave Balm, Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, Porcelain Shaving Mug and a Natural Bristle Shaving Brush. The tech-savvy dad: Give dad the gift of clean teeth (and fresh breath) with the Oral B Triumph with Smart Guide. This electric toothbrush wirelessly transmits information, including if you’re brushing too hard, what areas of the mouth have been cleaned, a timer and more, to a small LCD monitor. The indecisive dad: Calvin Klein Coffret (photo below) features four miniature-sized Calvin Klein for Men fragrances. It includes Euphoria, Obsession, Eternity, and CK One in a gift box. $32, Sephora. Conde Nast Traveler has put out its “Hot List” of 2008. Among their featured spas are E'Space 1898 in Venice, Italy ... need I say more? It is in the Hilton Molino Stucky, a new hotel housed in a former flour mill and features a Molino Flour Scrub, $137, which uses Indian corn, to polish skin. In Northern Ireland, the Galgorm Resort and Spa was also a favorite of Conde Nast. They have quite a few men’s treatments available including a samunprai massage (a hot Thai massage), a head and face treatment and the Men's Ginger & Black Pepper Hand Treatment. In Austria, the Auriga Spa has signature treatments that correspond with the lunar cycle. For example, the new moon features the color green to represent new beginnings and has a seaweed wrap, a eucalyptus massage and more. Each treatment is only offered when the moon is in that particular phase.

The Spa at Stoweflake offers what they call the "Bingham Hydrotherapy Waterfalls and Hungarian Mineral Soaking Pool." It is an indoor area that features a 12-foot waterfall (right) where guests can sit underneath and get massaged by the falling water. The soaking pool is filled with minerals from Hungary. Not such a bad way to indulge after skiing, hiking golfing or just doing nothing. The Top Notch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont, offers a Maple Syrup Body Scrub, made from syrup from Vermont trees. They also offer a Vermont Herbal Fusion Wrap, which is basically linens steeped in water with herbs and plants that are native to Vermont. The Stowe Mountain Lodge, set to open in June of 2008, is already promoting their spa and Salon Mario Russo, where you can get your hair or nails done- or visit with their bridal specialist. According to the Web site this will be a Boston-based hairdresser Mario Russo's first salon outside of the city. Want to be easy on the eyes and on the wallet at the same time. It is possible for the next few days because it is Spa Week (April 14-20)... a glorious seven days of discounted treatments at some of the most luxe spas and salons. I am seeing $50 specials on a variety of hair, nail, skin and other relaxing services throughout the U.S. to make you feel polished and groomed. Spaweek.org gave me great tips on spa etiquette, including mentioning you're booking a Spa Week special deal when you make the appointment, requesting a male or female at the time of booking if you have a preference for some of the more hands-on treatments and they say standard tipping is 15-20% of the original price of the service. Indulge yourself for less! Labels: indulge, Indulgence, salon, Skin, spa, Treatments

Jacqui Pini has had her nails manicured once a week since the fourth grade. Her obsession is your gain as she has discovered some of the most indulgent spa treatments, beauty fads and relaxation techniques for both men and women and can’t wait to tell you all about them. And even the smallest of budgets can absorb this punch … and afford a hot stone massage afterwards. … And she'll be the first to tell you, nothing’s more relaxing than that.
