The Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt

Fashion’s Night Out T-shirtNot only does the Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt (right) look great, but it also supports the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

About the National September 11 Memorial & Museum

Where the Twin Towers once stood, the Memorial will have two large pools with huge waterfalls running down the edges. The names of those killed in the 9/11 attacks in NYC, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon, along with those killed in the February 1993 World Trade Center bombing, will be inscribed around the edges of the pools.

Areas of the museum, including “Survivors Stairs” and two original steel tridents from the Twin Towers, are designed to express the enormity of the attacks. The museum will include a private suite set aside for families of victims as well as public places where anyone can reflect.

Alice + Olivia, Loehman’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and Bergdorf Goodman are among those selling the official Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt. A full list (see those in red font) of places to purchase the shirt can be found on the Fashion’s Night Out website.

About Fashion’s Night Out:
Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative created to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York. On September 10, 2009, more than 300 stores will stay open late to put the fun back in shopping, with designer appearances, live windows, celebrity guests, and other special events. In addition, two important New York charities—the September 11 Memorial and Museum and the NYC AIDS Fund—will benefit from the initiative. On the same night around the world, and led by twelve international Vogue editions (United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Russia, France, Brazil, India, Spain, China, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan), each country will tailor its Fashion’s Night Out celebration to appeal to its city’s unique retail environment.
